As you may have seen in the press, the French government has announced that it is awarding the Companionship of the Legion d'Honneur to surviving WW2 veterans.  We are grateful to Martin Kerry for assisting our veterans with their applications.  Issue of medals has been slow, as the French authorities vastly under-estimated the number of applications.  However, those for our members are now coming through and David Render was honoured to receive his from the French Ambassador at a ceremony at the French Residence on 16th February 2015.
